Our most active members provide valuable support services too.
Branch 101 representatives:

  • Visit the sick and terminally ill in the VA Hospitals & local Hospices,
  • Provide an Honor Guard and "Two Bell Ceremony"for our fallen Shipmates,
  • Sponsor weekly bingo games for the community at large, and
  • Maintain a physical presence at community forums, airshows and parades

Branch 101 provides a valuable outlet for citizens to give back to local charitable organizations, in the form of weekly Bingo games (a win-win for Santa Clara County and the FRA). Over 90% of the proceeds (exceeding $20,000 annually)is donated to major groups like American Red Cross, VA Palo Alto, and USO, among a long list of deserving recipients.

Branch 101 aggressively participates in the FRA Americanism Essay Contest.This year, the national grand prize is a $15,000 US Savings Bond for the best 350 word essay on "What the United States Flag Stands For" (see rules at the Essay Contest link).We believe "Loyalty, Protection, and Service" begins with our youth.
